Overview
Tesla's general-purpose humanoid program, aimed at repeatable work in factories and, later, everyday settings. Public materials mostly describe in-house trials on carry and load/unload stations; household demos read more as roadmap vision than a sold service. Versus research or commercial humanoids already sold or leased outward, Optimus is still an in-plant early-ramp story—SEC filings describe line build-out and first “production-quality” bots off the line, not proof of large-scale external delivery.

2026-10: Q3 2026 Update (SEC Exhibit 99.1) marks Fremont high-volume as Early Ramp with first “production-quality” bots off the line; Texas remains Construction. Readable takeaway: off the line ≠ for sale—trust the SEC stage labels.
